Booklist to rear (shiny). Possible variant first/early edition, as booklist to rear lists books published 1908. Spine is browned with couple of splits to top. Foxing to endpapers, outer page edges and some page margins. A few grubby margin marks. All plates present.

Brown blind decorated cloth with gilt titles to spines. An American's impressions of Great Britain in Victorian times. Volume 1 is probably nearer very good - Bumping and a bit of chipping to corners, some browning and foxing; binding is nice and tight. Volume 2 - is chipped with splits to edges; tear in cloth on rear, but top cloth still present; damp stained; half of title page is MISSING - some heavy foxing and damp marking throughout. Please note, this appears to be a MIXED set with slightly different cloths - possibly bought at different times.
