Almost very good condition. This story follows the adventures of Kimball O'Hara, an orphaned Irish boy living on the streets of Lahore in late 19th century India. Kim befriends an elderly Tibetan lama who is on a spiritual quest to find the legendary River of the Arrow. Red cloth covers. Gilt title to spine and gilt elephant head vignette to front cover. 413 pages, top edge gilt. B/w photo plates.
Board edges lightly rubbed/worn. Top & tail of spine slightly frayed. A few minor marks to boards. Foxing to text block, endpapers and to contents. Front hinge between free front endpaper and fly-leaf is cracked, partially split. Name in pencil to fly-leaf. Tissue guard to frontispiece is foxed and partially detached. Some hinges pulled else binding tight.
