  • This was the kind of holiday job Joanna had been looking for to fill the gap between school and university, but would it be as marvellous as it sounded. Although determined to become a mystery writer like her father, Joanna soon found herself involved in a plot more sinister then any she could have devised. It had all begun with the mysterious conversation she had overheard at her interview; and then there was the strange ceremony of the dolls; and the sudden disappearance of Graham Hadley. But life on board the Carinova had its brighter side too, for there was Charles on whom she come to rely more and more.
  • Naples, Pompeii, Dubrovnik, Gibralter and Lisbon provide picturesque settings for this fast moving story of atomic spies and international intrigue.
