A delightful picture of life for ordinary Russian people. Pictorial boards. B/w illustrations. 160 pages. F'cap 4to. SIGNED by the author by means of an inscription at top margin of frontis. Spine bumped. Light foxing, mainly at textblock. Dustwrapper is edge worn, creased and torn.

Blue boards, red titles. B/w illustrations. 89 pages. Spine bumped. Light browning and foxing to endpapers. Dustwrapper is just a tiny bit edge rubbed and very slightly grubby to rear panel.

Mary Noel Streatfeild OBE (24 December 1895 –11 September 1986), was an English author, best known for children's books including the "Shoes" books, which were not a series (though some books made references to others).
