Front cover shows kitten being tickled by a blade of wheat by a mouse whilst sitting on a high stool having his photo taken by a cat. B/w illustrations throughout, some to colour, some to copy.
Covers worn with some surface paper loss, spine a little frayed at top and tail. Joints split. Inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper. Hinges pulled apart. Some pages detached. Possible that some pages may be missing but not known. Contents grubby with fingermarks. Binding still holding but fragile. White colouring to couple of pages. A reading copy only.
