Almost very good condition. Eighth edition. Small format. Dark green cloth, gilt titles and decoration. B/w illustrations. Fold-out maps. xiii and 229 plus 112 pages advertisements to rear.

Top & tail of spine and corners lightly rubbed. Front joint starting to crack but binding still firm. Text block browned. Small ink mark to front pastedown. Some light corner creasing. One folding map has a 2" closed tear (no loss). Contents generally clean for a book over 150 years old.
