Black spine with silver title. Black decorated boards. Introduction by Colin Ward. Wood engravings. Musty odour present else a fine copy contained in publisher's slipcase which is lightly browned at edges.
The river and its history. Introduced by Ron Powers. Blue cloth boards, gilt title to spine, gilt map of the river and its tributaries to front board. Blue endpapers. B/w and colour illustrations. Light vertical crease to prelims else a fine copy. Contained in publisher's slipcase in almost fine condition.
Folio Collectables series, issued without a slipcase. Brown cloth with blue titles, vignettes to front and rear cover. 338 pages. Black ribbon bookmark. Top edge brown. A lovely copy.
Light cream and green pictorial boards with foil title to spine and green jumping frog. Illustrated. Thirteenth printing. Lower corner crease to a few pages else a fine copy in publisher's slipcase which has a few white paint spatters to one side.
Red cloth covers, black illustrations to front and spine. Black title to front cover, gilt titles to spine. 26 b/w illustrations throughout. 208 pages and 32 pages of adverts dated February 1894. Spine and corners bumped. Some grubby marks to covers. Book leans to one side. Endpapers browned, foxing to textblock and tissue-guard of frontis. Small mark to front free-endpaper.
Introduced by Roy Blount Jr. Silver/grey pictorial boards with black title to spine. B/w illustrations. Grey endpapers. 266 pages. Glue visible to joints through endpapers (not sticky and is a binding fault). Contained in publisher's slipcase with a few minor marks.

Spine slightly darkened. Small booksellers sticker to front pastedown. Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper, top corner tip torn off same page. Some foxing to contents and slight musty smell to contents. Catalogue is dated October 1888.
