Very good condition. Rebound in three-quarter brown leather with brown cloth covers. 164 pages. 36 wood engravings hand-coloured.
Spine and corners rubbed, split to top of spine. Name plate to front pastedown. Inscription in ink to front endpaper (also states "rebound 1888"). Some foxing and grubby fingermarks to page margins throughout. Front board completely separated from rest of book. A decent copy of this scarce antiquarian children's book.
