Dark green boards, gilt title to spine. Packed full with colour and b/w illustrations. 160 pages. "The Schoolchild's Pocket Book", a book of rhymes. Originally published by Williams & Norgate Ltd in 1947. Wrapper has some light edge-creasing.

Rhymes you knew at school, all collected together for the first time and combined with the Opie's valuable notes, witty and erudite. Blue cloth. Spin and corners bumped. A couple of small faded patches to spine. Foxing to endpapers and textblock. Price-cut wrapper is foxed and has a couple of patches of loss to spine (corresponding with the faded patches to the book).
