The life of the famour Norseman Harald the Stern - Harald Hardrada - during the years 1034 to 1044, which he spent in the Byzantine Empire as captain of the Greek Emperor's northern guard. Dark grey cloth boards, silver title to spine. Spine cocked. Text block browned and with minor foxing. Endpapers browned. Yellow pictorial dustwrapper is browned and a little grubby.

Almost very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper.
The great Roman invasion of Britain through the eyes of Bran, the massive war dog. Pale grey boards gilt title to spine. B/w illustrations. Boards a little grubby and marked. Spine slightly cocked. Text block browned. Name in ink to front endpaper. A few minor marks to contents. Price-cut pictorial dustwrapper has a biro scribble to front panel, is worn at corners with slight loss, rear panel is rubbed and grubby with a large grease stain and snail damage to top spine edge.
