Very good condition in a good dustwrapper. It was just like Arthur Augustus D'Arcy to try riding in the dark without his bike-lamp and just like him to run right into trouble. Fanfare series. Green cloth with black title to spine. Colour frontis. B/w illustrations. 296 pages.

Spine slightly bumped. Very slight fading to cover edges. Foxing to endpapers. Page browning throughout else contents clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn and torn with neat tape repairs on verso. Large section of loss to lower edge of rear panel.

But there was even more trouble in store for his pal Talbot. Why did Talbot go pale when he saw the man who had dropped from the wall in front of Gussy's bike?
