Contents

  • Billy Bunter had mentioned many a time that he was expecting a postal order - it was, in fact, one of his most celebrated utterances. Promise, however, was seldom equalled by performance, though on one morning he had especial reason to believe that the postal order had arrived. It was unfortunate that Mr. Quelch confiscated temporarily the vital missive; Bunter's endeavours to retrieve it were the beginning of a series of episodes well up to Greyfriar's hilarity standard.
  • When it turns out that the postal order Bunter took from Mr. Quelch's study is the property of one of the masters and Bunter is under the cloud of imminent expulsion for suspected pilfering her goes on the run.
