Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. Colour and b/w illustrations. Cream cloth. Large format. A scholarly, definitive and enchantingly beautiful explanation of all the imaginary beasts, monsters, races, nations, deities, fauna and flora of Tolkien's fantasy worlds of Middle-Earth and the Undying Lands.
Boards clean. Text block heavily browned and a little grubby. Some browning to contents else clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is a little grubby, browned to spine with foxing and a damp stain to base, top of spine is edge-chipped.
