Almost very good condition. Cream cloth with brown titles and pictorial onlay to front cover. Blue illustration to endpapers. 12 colour plates. 180 pages.
Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Covers a bit grubby. Endpapers browned and feeling a little brittle (but no chipping yet). Inscription in ink in child's writing to verso of front fly-leaf, the ink has smudged onto the verso of the frontis. Foxing to textblock, a few light fingermarks to page margins. Marginal tear to one page (97/8). One plate has piece missing, 1.5 x 0.75", from bottom margin and a repaired tear which does travel into the illustration.
