Almost very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. 212 illustrations with some full-page colour plates. Black cloth with gilt decoration to front cover and gilt title in red title box to spine. 864 pages.
Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Spotting to covers. Name in ink to front pastedown. Foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. Wrapper is browned to spine; some grubby marks; edge-torn and chipped with a few tape repairs to verso; a bit of loss.
