Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. A Story of the Siberian Frontier. Green pictorial cloth with black to spine and front cover. Grey endpapers. Colour frontis plus 3 b/w plates. 288 pages plus 32 page publication list to rear.

Spine slightly bumped. Light fading to covers. Prize plate to front pastedown. Some foxing else contents clean. Pictorial wrapper is slightly edge rubbed, grubby on rear panel.

  • Hope Delayne is the daughter of an English merchant who has settled in a little frontier town for the purpose of rescuing his brother, who has been unjustly banished to the mines. When he is almost ready to make the attempt, they learn that the prisoner has escaped, and it is feared that he will perish in the forest. At the same time, Hope's Russian friend becomes implicated in the smuggling of gold across the border into Chinese territory.
