Almost very good condition. Blue illustrated cloth showing man in armour on horse in full battle dress. Gilt background and title to front. Man and horse in gilt to spine with title in blue on square gilt background. All page edges olive. Grey endpapers. 8 b/w plates including frontis. 352 pages, 32 pages of adverts.
Spine and corners bumped and worn. Gilt on spine has faded. Some marks to rear cover. Front joint and several hinges cracked. Prize presentation plate to front pastedown. Endpapers browned. Foxing, especially heavy to prelims and fingering to contents.
