They conducted an in-depth review of all judicial and administrative procedures in the county, correcting abuse of office by officials and ensuring that penalties were imposed on all those responsible for encroachments on royal rights. This volume contains an English translation of the sole surviving roll from the Warwickshire Eyre held between 5 June and 20 July 1262. ISBN: 9780852201077. Looks unread. Else a lovely set contained in publisher's slipcase which has minor fading and is a little scuffed, small 'dint' to one end.
