The story, in diary form, of the first great Anglo-American venture of the Second World War. Red boards with gilt title to spine. B/w photos. ISBN: 0854352104. Minor shelf wear to lower edge of front board and spine. Text block lightly browned. Endpapers faintly browned. Contents otherwise clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is lightly rubbed at edges, tiny closed tear to lower front edge, slight scuffing to rear panel.

Introduced and annotated by Oughton. Major 'Mick' Mannock was a winner of a posthumous V.C. in 1918. Blue boards, gilt title to spine. Facsimile pages of the diary and b/w plates. Some marks to outer page edges. Wrapper has some scuffing and small nicks.
