Large format. Cream cloth spine. Beige boards with pictorial onlay to front. 8 colour plates. B/w text illustrations. Spine and corners slightly bumped. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Endpapers lightly browned. A few light foxspots to contents otherwise clean. Dustwrapper is just a little bit grubby and has a 5cm closed tear to top of spine edge on front panel (for some reason the wrapper appears to be 0.5cm too short for the book!).

Sleeping Partners A Series of Episodes. A series of plates by Aldin featuring what appear to be a Irish Wolfhound and a terrier. Large format. Blue boards, light blue titles. Corners bumped. Endpapers a little grubby/foxed. Contents beautifully bright and clean. Pictorial wrapper is edge-worn and torn with loss.

Green cloth, gilt title to spine and vignette to front cover with embossed borders. Stories of elves, princesses, dwarfs and fairies. B/w chapter head and tail pieces. Spine and corners a little bumped, corners slightly worn. Small nick to lower edge of front cover. Small split to spine rear edge. Covers clean with gilt still bright. Attractive pictorial bookplate of Dora Allison on front pastedown. Inscription in ink on front endpaper dated December 1869. Some light creasing to pages and some fingermarks. Two pages have circular black marks to them (pages 88 and 120). A bright copy of a scarce early fairy tale book.

A Fairy Tale. 62 pages + 36 page booklist dated October 1876. Top of spine chipped with loss. Spine browned and bumped and base. Small mark to front cover. Some page edges ragged from uneven opening.

Watty was the fat white puppy that lived with Dicky the woolly fox-cub and the little blue girl called Betty... Blue cloth spine, white pictorial paper front board. Full page colour illustration every other page. Covers a little grubby and creased. One line inscription in ink to front pastedown. Prelims grubby with a closed tear to gutter edge of title page. A few finger marks present. Illustrations clean and bright.

The following words have been punch stamped as holes at the bottom of the title page 'Complimentary Copy Not for Sale' else contents fine. Pictorial wrapper is a little edge-chipped. A very nice copy of the first Faber edition.
