Blue cloth with gilt titles to spines and vignettes to front covers. Volume I published in 1950, covers upto 1914. Volume II published in 1952 covers 1914-1918. B/w illustrations. Spines are a bit bumped and faded. Some marks to covers. Foxing to outer page edges.

One of Mary Tourtel's first books before she went on to create Rupert Bear! Dumpy Books For Children series No. 10. Small format. Green cloth with dark green titles and stripes. Colour pictures with text facing, printed on one side of the paper only. A delightful little book! Foxing and browning to covers, with some uneven fading. Small nick to cloth at base of spine. Front joint is a bit cracked. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Foxing and browning. A few hinges are a little pulled.

A & C Black Colour Book 20 Shilling Series. Blue pictorial cloth, gilt titles to spine and and front cover. Top edge gilt. 60 tissue-guarded colour plates. Folding map. 4 page booklist to rear. The rarest of the Black's 20 Shilling Series. Assumed early edition/reprint in same year as 1st edition - as has 4 page booklist to rear. Spine is browned with a few chips and splits to top; some fraying to cloth. Front board bright and clean. Corners are bumped. Personal gift inscription in pencil to front endpaper. Joints are starting to crack a little. Some foxing present. Plate margins browned. All plates present.

The first volume of an exhaustive study of the Messerschmitt Me 262, the world's first operational military jet aircraft. Large format. Red boards, silver title to spine, blind title to front. B/w photos and illustrations, colour fold-outs. ISBN: 0952686724. Small knocks along cover edges, with brown stain along bottom edge of front cover. The odd margin mark, else contents are still excellent! Wrapper is edge-creased with grubby mark to rear panel.

BENTLEY CONTINENTAL R

The Bentley Continetal R was a luxury Coupe manufactured by British automobile manufacturer Bentley Motors from 1991 to 2003. It was the fastest, most expensive, and most powerful Bentley automobile of its day. It was also the most expensive production car in the world at its introduction. Large oblong format. Blue leather, gilt titles. Colour & b/w photos. All edges gilt. ISBN: 1855322609. A few minor scuffs to leather. Contents are fine. Contained in publisher's slipcase also in fine condition due, in part, to the original bubble packaging being present.
