Paul Hunter might have helped, he could have welcomed her to Wethersham, but Paul, for some reason, seemed determined to be difficult. Purple/blue boards with silver titles to spine. 238 pages. He tells of his impressions in the generous style of a smiling philosopher and there is a great mellowness and depth in his observations. Yellow cloth boards, silver title to spine. Colour frontis and b/w line drawings throughout. 269 pages plus publisher adverts to rear. Third impression in the same year as first impression. Spiner and horizontal edges of boards browned and a few foxspots. Heavy foxing to text block and some foxing to contents. Pictorial dustwrapper is edge-worn with a few small chips, browned to spine, small foxspots present.
