Very good condition in a good dustwrapper.
Cream pictorial cloth. B/w illustrations. Blue titles. 327 pages. The fifth story in the Adventure series. Spine bumped. Some light foxing to spine. Inscription in ink (green ink) to front free-endpaper. Endpapers are foxed. Contents are clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn and foxed (visible on flaps and verso) and has a section of loss to base of spine. Spine is also slightly browned.

Edited by Duthie. Blue boards, gilt title to spine. B/w illustrations. First story is Th Visitor by Henry Treece (illus J.S. Goodall). Spine slightly bumped. Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper. Light page edge browning and some foxing. Dustwrapper is edge worn with a large vertical score mark to front panel.

Large name in ink to lower edge of textblock and name and address to top edge of textblock. Dustwrapper is well worn with slight loss at corners, torn to lower half of spine with slight loss.

The story is set in motion when three children from the Grenfell family express skepticism about the Locketts' previous exploits, suggesting that the "adventures" recorded in their books (ostensibly written by their aunt, a newspaper reporter) are works of fiction. To settle the dispute, an adventure competition is organized. Red cloth. B/w illustrations. Top edge of textblock is foxed. Spine of dustwrapper is slightly faded.

An exiting adventure involving a remote and lonely bungalow and a cruel sea. Dark red cloth, black titles to spine. Blue pictorial endpapers, b/w illustrations. 214 pages. Bumping to spine and corners. Boards damp stained and a little bowed. Some pink staining to bottom of front pastedown where colour has seeped through from cloth. Name and date to front endpaper. Rear endpapers browned. A little foxing mainly to page edges. Pages are wrinkled. Dustwrapper is edge worn with some tears and small area of loss to top and bottom of spine. Spine and top of rear panel browned. Rear panel is grubby.
