A collection of short stories. Blue cloth, black title to spine. 221 numbered pages. B/w illustrations. Spine and corners slightly bumped and rubbed. Pastedowns very lightly browned else contents bright and clean. Dustwrapper is browned on verso and is lightly worn.

Small hole to spine cloth. Inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper. Wrapper has some tears, with a little loss to top of spine and 1" hole loss to spine. Wrapper is also marked with some scuffs.

The Lockett family had not been on their Thames island many days before Adventure cropped up in the usual fashion... Green cloth, blue title to spine. Blue pictorial endpapers. B/w illustrations. Horizontal line across front cover and spine - defect in the cloth. Wrapper lightly browned and edge-rubbed.

A story of the Locketts family. The story is set in motion when three children from the Grenfell family express skepticism about the Locketts' previous exploits, suggesting that the "adventures" recorded in their books (ostensibly written by their aunt, a newspaper reporter) are works of fiction. To settle the dispute, an adventure competition is organized. Red cloth. B/w illustrations. Spine is faded. Light crease to rear cover.
