Often Corporation bus services served simply their own towns and cities. It was not uncommon for services to end at a boundary, even when the logical traffic objective was a little way beyond. Manchester amd Salford's muncipal bus operations observed no such niceties. They galloped on in cavalier fashion, ignoring boundaries and providing useful links with surrounding towns. Large format.
