Stories of a cute little bulldog. Translated by A. Teixera de Mattos. Brown cloth, gilt titles. Large pictorial onlay to front cover. 6 colour plates. Some light bumping to spine and corners. Page browning and some foxing - mostly to prelims and outer page edges. One hinge badly cracked but binding remains tight.

Maria is in love with Charles, but Lady Sneerwell and Joseph plot to ruin this relationship through rumors of unfaithfulness on Charles' part... Lovely gilt decorated lilac cloth covers, gilt titles. 25 exquisite tipped-in colour plates and other b/w text illustrations. 195 pages. 10.75 x 8 inches. Browning to spine. Some bumping. Bookplate to front pastedown. Foxing and browning to endpapers and outer page edges. The odd margin mark. All plates present.

Green Boards with gilt title to spine. Full page b/w wood engraving illustrations plus chapter headers and footers. 149 pages. 8.5 x 5.5". Bumping and wear to spine and corners; fading to base of spine and bottom corner of front cover; (possibly a little damp). Foxing to outer page edges. Wrapper is price-cut with browning to spine and edges; some edge-creasing and a few nicks.

Large format, 9.75 x 7.5". Blue cloth, gilt titles and green decorations. 16 tipped-in colour plates. B/w text illustrations. Spine and corners bumped and slightly rubbed. Some hinges cracked. Endpapers lightly browned. Some foxspots else contents clean. All plates present and in fine condition. Dustwrapper has slight loss to top and tail of spine (and a slightly larger section of loss to top of front panel beside spine edge. Very scarce in dustwrapper.

Some episodes in a Mis-spent Youth. Green pictorial boards with typical Aldin full page illustrations. Covers are edge worn, scuffed with 8 d tape marks across the spine/covers (see photos). Spine covering is chipped with loss. 8 old tape marks across the joints of the books which have browned and affect the prelims and last few pages. There is also sticky fabric reinforcing the joints. Staples are rusty. Joint between frontis and title-page is cracked. Contents are foxed, grubby and lightly browned. Not as bad as it sounds! Still a decent copy.

Some writing and b/w illustration (taken from blurb of missing wrapper?) pasted on to front pastedown. Year written in ink to front endpaper. Endpapers browned, some foxing to contents which are otherwise clean.

A collection of stories and illustrations which originally appeared in "Little Folks" between 1896 and 1902, during which period most of the numbers of the magazine contained some of Rackham's drawings. Large format. 36 tinted line-drawn plates and text illustrations. Brown cloth, gilt titles to spine; brick red titles and vignette to front cover. 144 pages. One of the more unusual Rackham items. 2nd issue. Small splits and chips to top and tail of spine; some fraying to cloth. Corners are bumped and worn. Marks to covers. Foxing to outer page edges. Some grubby margin marks. B/w line drawing to title page has been coloured with water colours.

Brown cloth, gilt title, brown decorations to spine and front cover. 549pp. Cr 4to. Some light bumping and wear to spine and corners. Presentation plate to front pastedown. Front joint next to half-title page is cracked. Some foxing. Creasing to tissue-guard of frontis. A few hinges are pulled - binding starting to become a little weak in a couple of places. Foxing to outer page edges. All plates present. Original wrapper is edge-creased, with some grubby marks; a couple of small pieces of loss to corners.
