Blue cloth with yellow title to spine and vignette to front cover. B/w illustrations. The hero of this book is a London River tug-boat. Her adventures in peace and war form the stories, some tragic and some humorous, but always full of the spirit of that waterway which is half river and half sea. Browning to endpapers. Some foxing to outer page edges. Wrapper is edge=creased and browned, with a few tiny nicks to corners.

Spine very slightly bumped, some very slight darkening to cover edges. Name plate to front endpaper. Endpapers browned and some light foxing at page edges. A few margin marks. Top of a couple of pages roughly opened resulting in a small closed tear and small piece missing from top of one page. Dustwrapper is very grubby with a few small stains and is price-cut.
