B/w photos and illustrations. xvi and 487 pages including index. Reprint. Minor spotting to front board. A few minor foxspots present, mainly to prelims and text block. Else contents clean. Dustwrapper is grubby with a few tiny chips, top corner of front flap has been torn away.

Part II.; Volume IV: From Richard II. to Henry VIII Part I. Full leather binding, gilt title to spine. Marbled endpapers. Numerous b/w illustrations. All edges gilt. Vol I 1st 1851; Vol II 1st 1853; Vol III 1st 1859; Vol IV 1st 1859. Volume III and IV are possibly bound with incorrect number on spine ie III should be IV and IV should be III. Boards are lightly scuffed at edges, bumped at corners but otherwise in very good condition for the age of the volumes. Some foxing present but not bad. A nice set.

A nice copy for its age.
