Red cloth spine. Grey pictorial boards. Oblong format. Lovely colour illustrations. Pages uncut and printed on one side only. Cover edges are worn. Spine is grubby. Front joint is completely broken, front free-endpaper torn and creased. Rear joint is cracked but not broken and free-endpaper chipped/torn. Staples rusty. Booksellers sticker to rear pastedown. Contents are grubby and foxed but generally good.

Prize plate to front pastedown. Contents browned and fingered, some hinges cracked.

Gold cloth, red title and vignette to spine and red vignette to front cover. Colour frontis plate plus 6 b/w illustrations. 256 pages. Spine bumped and slightly darkened. Light foxing else contents clean. Later dustwrapper (lists a Dimsie book published in 1942 and is a few mm too short for the book!) is price-cut with a few small tears at edges, minimal loss to base of spine. Wrapper is also just a little grubby.

Small splash marks to margins of pages 90 & 91, contents are well fingered with light foxing. A decent copy of a very early reprint.

Telling the story of Pickles the puppy who is always getting into a pickle! Large format. Brick red cloth spine, with gilt title. Green cloth covers with orange and gilt titles. 24 delightful colour plates. Spine and corners slightly bumped. Very light mark to front cover else covers clean. Couple of tiny holes to spine. Front joint is partially cracked. Inscription in ink to half-title page. Some foxing, mostly to endpapers and prelims. Plates are bright and clean. Guards at gutter edges are worn in places and coming unglued. Plate XII has a green scuff vertically to verso (not affecting the illustration). Plate XVI is edge-worn. A few small closed edge tears to margins. Rear endpaper has been repaired at edges with magic tape and has one other closed tear. Despite faults this is a decent copy of a rare Aldin title.
