Almost very good condition in a slightly better than good dustwrapper.
Blue cloth. Dark blue titles and borders. 256 pages. Spine and corners a little bumped. Spine faded and a little foxed. Front board slightly bowed. Small piece of blue sticky paper to front pastedown. Endpapers browned. A few foxspots to page edges. Dustwrapper is edgeworn and torn with small area of loss to bottom of rear panel. Spine is faded. Foxing to flaps and verso.

Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper.
Life in Catholic Spain is conventional and tradition-bound. Beatriz rebels against staying at home and travels to London as an au pair. Here her eyes are opened to some of the realities of life and love. Red boards with gilt titles to spine. 240 pages. SIGNED by author to front endpaper with inscription. Minimal bumping to spine. Foxing, mainly to text block and top margins. Contents otherwise clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn and chipped with a browned spine and grubby rear panel.

Laminated pictorial boards. Front cover has head and shoulders of Rupert with sea in the background. First story is Rupert and the Copper Bird. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Splitting to laminate to top of spine; a bit of foxing. Chipping to base of spine; a little loss. Creasing to front endpaper, with inscription in pencil to belongs to box, same page has a little pencil colour scribble. NOT price-cut. Colouring contest and page next to it have colouring in and some scribble. Butterfly colouring to page 63 has been completed. Hinge between pages 78 + 79 has been pulled. Rupert's Nature Spotting Hobby has been completed in pencil (p. 20/21).

Castle overlooking sea in background. 2" horizontal tear across front cover near bottom. Other creasing and wear to covers. Base of spine is repaired (re glued), with a little colouring - about 1.75", split to one side. Creasing to rear cover, with some scuffing and light surface paper damage. Not price-cut. Inscription in ink to belongs to box. Year date in ink to inside front cover. Grubby margin marks to a few pages internally. Pictures are still bright. Small margin tear to last page, repaired with magic tape. Last page has a split gutter. Still a good copy of this rarer edition.

A mischievous puppy gets in to all sorts of trouble! Spine bumped and worn. Corners worn, and outside edge of rear cover very worn and bumped. Some loss of paper cover from rear board, approx. 2 x 0.5", creasing alongside. Scratches to onlay. Covers a bit grubby. Ink inscription to front pastedown. Diagram of door drawn in pencil to verso of frontis. Foxing throughout plus an odd mark.

All edges gilt. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Small line indentation to top of front cover. Looks like an unsuccessful attempt has been made to clean the covers which are now part shiny/part matt and unevenly coloured and marked. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Joints are cracked. Frontis and one other plate MISSING, a few have small ink spots to them. Some grubby margin marks. A reading copy.

A few very minor marks to covers which are nice and bright. Backstrip complete but 1" and 2" splits to front edge. Rear edge of spine starting to split. Corners lightly rubbed. Front and rear joint weak. Name in belongs to box. NOT price-cut (no price printed in this copy). Maze garden puzzle page completed. Contents bright.
