Red boards, black titles and vignette to front. Colour frontis. B/w illustrations. The case of the pirate U-Boat. Second impression. Spine and corners bumped. Pale mark to front cover. Name in ink to front pastedown and name and address in two different inks to endpaper. Red '8' to top corner of front endpaper. Endpapers are browned. There is foxing to the contents and a musty smell. Dustwrapper is edge chipped with sections of loss, tears to rear fold and grubby to rear panel. Wrapper is foxed.

Red boards, black titles. Black vignette of aeroplane to front. 8 colour plates. Endpapers are maps. Some foxing to textblock and to some page margins. Contents otherwise clean. Dustwrapper is edge rubbed and has a small tear to lower corner of front panel, rear panel is slightly grubby with a neat '3' red ink stamp to top corner.

Slight bumping to spine and corners. Child's name in part ink and part pencil to front free-endpaper. Some light pen marks to textblock edge. Contents are browned but otherwise clean. Dustwrapper is edge rubbed with a few small doodles to rear panel.
