Published by John F. Shaw & Co.. circa 1908. Slightly better than good condition.

Red cloth covers with pictorial onlay of two children in front of a turkey, silver titles and floral decoration. Multi coloured title to spine. All edges gilt. Two-tone and b/w illustrations. Two full page b/w illustrations by Wain. Spine bumped and very slightly faded. A little wear to corners. A few small light marks to covers and some loss of silver from title. A few hinges cracked. Prize plate and tiny bookseller's label to front pastedown. One page partially detached. A few pages have small tears to bottom alongside spine. Browning and foxing to contents, some pages much worse than others.

Pretty Pictures and Stories for Little Girls and Boys. Pictorial front cover shows two children eating cherries, black title to spine, adverts to rear cover. Colour frontis plus b/w illustrations. 188 pages plus adverts. Spine bumped and worn, edges starting to crack with some loss of surface. Corners worn. Covers slightly grubby and browned. One hinge cracked and front joint just starting to crack. Name and date in ink to verso of frontis. Just a little foxing and an odd mark to contents.
