Ladybird Series 606D. The original 'well-loved tales' classic! Green pictorial paper boards. Colour illustrations. ISBN: 0721402674. Spine and corners bumped and slightly rubbed. Some small scratch marks to top edge of rear cover. Child's name in ink to front endpaper. A very small, light fingermark to front endpaper else contents bright and clean. A nice copy of the first edition.

Pictorial wrapper is faded to spine and edges, with red crayon scribble to front panel and name in ink to top of front panel. Ned the Lonely Donkey is last title on rear flap.

Ladybird Series 417. Grey boards with colour vignette and titles. Also contains: THE NEW FISHING NET. Spine and corners bumped. Some faint evidence of erased pencil writing to top margin of title-page. Otherwise contents clean. Dustwrapper has top 1.5" missing to both front and rear panels (and spine), remainder of wrapper is torn and grubby, tape repairs on verso.
Series 417. Cream boards with colour vignette and titles. Also contains: THE NEW FISHING NET. Spine bumped. Light fingering to some page margins. 2cm closed tear (nearly invisible) to lower edge of 2 pages of contents. Overall, a splendid copy of a very scarce book. (Catalogue to rear only advertises books printed in 1941).

Series 401. Buff boards with square pictorial onlay to front and titles. Bumping along couple of cover edges. Some light green pencil colouring to front endpaper. Free front endpaper has an extensive ink drawing of a person to it. Some of the b/w illustrations above text to text pages have the characters tails coloured with biro. Ink tick and cross marks to other ladybird titles page to rear of book. Pictorial wrapper has ink underlining to titles on rear flap, edge-tear to front flap, and a few other smaller edge-tears and nicks. Name in pencil written across front of front panel. A few other smaller marks to wrapper. Overall, still a good copy of this scarce item.
Ladybird Series 474. A Tasseltip Tale. Pictorial paper boards. Spine and corners are bumped and worn. Top of spine has roughly 1/2 cm missing. Gift inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper. 2" tear vertically up one page, next to spine. Contents are still bright. Pictorial wrapper is price-cut, edge-chipped, with a few inch edge-tears, that have been repaired to verso with sticky tape. Some small pieces of loss to corners. Grubby marks to rear panel. Overall, still a very good copy of this rarer ladybird title.

Ladybird Series 474. A Tasseltip Tale. Pictorial paper boards. Spine and corners are bumped and worn. 1cm to base of backstrip is chipped away. Front joint split, binding is weak. Some light scuffing to covers. Small tear hole to top of spine. Contents are lovely and bright and clean.

Some small surface paper patches of damage.
