Large, heavy format. Blue-green cloth with elaborate gilt decoration to front cover and gilt title and decorations to spine. 32 beautiful colour plates with captioned tissue guards. 378 pages, top edge gilt. Large format. Spine and corners bumped and slightly rubbed. A few very light marks to covers. Endpapers lightly browned. Front joint is cracked as are a couple of hinges. Small piece of surface paper damage to page 100 and verso of plate where possibly pages were lightly stuck together. Foxing throughout else contents clean. This copy would make a wonderful gift.

Grey cloth with red spine. Gilt vignette to lower front corner. Delightful tipped-in colour plates and b/w drawings. How Mr. Korah is taken captive by an octopus but lives to tell the tale. Minimal bumping to spine. Name in ink to front endpaper. Plates present and in fine condition. Dustwrapper is slightly grubby with a small mark to top corner of rear panel and some slight loss at corners.

Large format. Gilt and black titles and decorations. 20 tipped-in paper guarded chromolithograph plates. Some wear to cloth mainly to corners, with a little fraying. Front and rear joints cracked. All plates present but with some foxing. 1 plates has paper-guard missing. Another plate appears to have been re-inserted, but in the wrong place. The paper guards have a fair amount of damage with some pieces missing.

Untrimmed page edges are dusty and there is some very light fingering otherwise contents are clean. 1 plate has a very light crease to a lower corner, all others present and fine condition.
