Green pictorial cloth, gilt titles to spine and front cover. 32 colour plates. Top edge gilt. A. & C. Black Colour Book, 6 Shillings Series. (Originally published in the 20 Shillings Series in 1905 with 79 illustrations). Reissue. Bumping and wear to spine and corners; a few small nicks to cloth. Cup ring marks to front cover. Joints are a bit cracked and starting to become weak. Inscriptions in ink to front endpaper. Foxing and browning to endpapers, outer page edges and page margins.

Green cloth, red and gilt decorations to front cover and spine. Top edge gilt. 24 colour plates. A & C Black Colour Book 6 shilling series. Top 2/3rds of spine is detached with loose piece loosely inserted to front of book; smaller split to rest of spine, which is also browned. Bumping to corners. Damp staining to rear cover. Large white label with inscription in ink to front endpaper, which covers a previous inscription in ink. Frontis has been reattached. Hinges are pulled. Some browning and light foxing. A reading copy.
