THE DOG WHO WASN'T WHAT HE THOUGHT HE WAS

by Walter Emanuel

Illustrated by Cecil Aldin

Published by Raphael Tuck & Sons Ltd.. 1st. 1914

Very good condition. Extracts from the diary of a Mongrelian named Gibus, so-called, says his master, because his face reminds him of his opera hat when it is shut up! Large format. Light brown pictorial cloth. Delightful and amusing colour plates plus a few b/w text illustrations.

Spine and cover edges very slightly darkened. A couple of small marks to rear cover. Browning to endpapers. A few marks to contents. Plate entitled: "He's the most terrible little mongrel there ever was" has a small sharp mark which goes through the page but is hardly noticeable (won't show on a photo.) A lovely copy of this charming tale.
