Contents

  • The Jacko stories are good fun, with a spice of adventure. Giovanni, the little Italian organ-grinder, is an irrepressible, good-natured fellow, who is constantly in trouble and out of it again, and all because Jacko is - just a little monkey!
  • The Whimsical Wolf stories are a contrast and a compliment. Billy is a boy who loves the countryside in all its moods. Where Jacko is drawn with truth as a lovable, mischievous animal, the truth of the mysterious Wolf lies in the way is symbolises and expresses young Billy's outlook on life.
