Very good condition. The deeply moving story of a young horse called Joey, the people whose lives he touches, and their struggle for survival in the blasted wilderness of the Western Front. White glazed pictorial boards (cover illustration by Victor Ambrus). 142 pages.

Spine and corners bumped, small dent to lower edge of rear cover. Some light marks to endpapers and textblock. Small, light mark to page 7 and a tiny ink mark to margin of page 5. A decent copy of the scarce first edition.
