Very good condition in a slightly better than good dustwrapper. A Garden Whim-Wham. The young Prince Dande Lion sets off to see the world with Bill Bergia the Smuggler, Captain Sturt Pea, Reds the Poinsettier dog and a pup, little Black Tulip. They meet with many exciting adventures. Brown cloth spine, green paper boards with brown vignette of Dande Lion. 4 colour plates(incl. title page), 12 full page black and white and many small illustrations. 117 pages.
Spine bumped with wear to ends. A little wear to corners. Fading to edges of both covers and a few faint dark marks to rear cover. Small bookseller's label to front pastedown. Margin tear to lower edge of page 99/100, just reaches text. Some black spots to colour plate pages, mostly faint and on versos. Light browning to endpapers and an odd fox spot but generally a nice clean copy. Dustwrapper has loss from ends of spine, top corner of rear panel and top of front fold and a few small chips. Rear flap is almost detached. Large tear to rear panel repaired on verso with clear tape, now yellowed. 4 pencil numbers/marks and a couple of creases to front flap. Panels and spine a bit grubby.
