Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. A story for children. Mary, a lonely girl at all times, is bored with the holiday she has to spend with her great-aunt in the rambling country house. Wandering aimlessly in the woods, she findsd a cat, who leads her to a curious flower that she has never seen before. There is something odd, too, about the cat, and about a little broomstick in a pile of rubbish waiting to be burnt... Purple cloth, gilt title to spine. B/w illustrations.
Bumping and faded across top edges of covers. Foxing to outer page edges and some page margins. Wrapper is edge-torn and creased with minimal loss.
