Slightly better than good condition. Grey cloth with red titles and illustration to front cover. Grey endpapers with red vignettes and belongs to box to front pastedown. 12 colour plates plus b/w vignettes to the chapter headers. 222 pages.
Spine and corners bumped and rubbed. Spine browned and foxed. Covers grubby, especially top edge of front cover. Front joint cracked and a couple of hinges starting to crack but binding is firm. Bump to top edge of text block has caused creasing and small tears to edge of a few pages towards end of book. Some browning. Foxing is mainly to text block, prelims and last few pages. Colouring to about 6 b/w illustrations with marks out of 10 alongside a couple. All plates present.
