The 9th year of the Pip and Squeak annual. Blue cloth spine. Front covers shows red car driving over a bed of nails! Colour plates & b/w illustrations. Covers edge worn, slightly grubby to rear cover. Spine slightly bumped and rubbed. Name in ink to front free-endpaper. Rear free-endpaper is lightly creased. Some light fingermarks to page margins.

Tan boards, red decoration to front. Colour frontis and numerous b/w text illustrations by the author. 94 pages. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Front board is a little bowed. A few grubby finger margin marks. 6 B/w illustrations have been neatly coloured (some only partially). Foxing to outer page edges. Wrapper is grubby with some foxing; has closed edge-tears that have been neatly repaired to verso with magic tape. A few chips of loss at corners of wrapper; small triangle of loss to wrapper at base of spine.

Maroon cloth, gilt title to spine. Pictorial endpapers. Colour frontis and b/w illustrations. First story "The Down Fast". Enid Blyton story "Brer Rabbit Tales". A little bumping and wear to spine and corners. Inscription in ink to front pastedown. Heavy foxing, mainly to prelims and page edges. Dustwrapper is edge worn with some small tears and chips. Top of spine has been detached, now held in place on verso with tape. Browned and foxed on verso.
