Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. B/w illustrations by Keith Shackleton and b/w photos by Eric Hosking. New Naturalist Monograph No. 15.The hawfinch's beautiful courtship and most interesting feeding habits. The author has followed the hawfinch in France and Britain from winter flock to summer territory.
Pale foxing to outer page edges; remains of an ink stamp also to outer page edges. Wrapper spine is browned, with surface paper damage to 1" at base (top layer of paper missing). Yellow tape marks to rear panel of wrapper next to spine. Some edge-tears and chips; most repaired to verso with brown paper tape. Small nick of loss to top edge of rear panel, which is also marked.
