by Edward Salisbury

Published by Collins. 2nd. 1964

Almost very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. New Naturalist No. 43. Green cloth, gilt titles. Colour frontis. 29 b/w photos, 34 line drawings, diagrams and maps. The idea that because weeds are a nuisance they must also be dull is dispelled in a few pages. Not only does the author show that an understanding of these criminals of the plant world will make their control both easier and more interesting: he also imparts to the reader something of his own delight and wonder.

Minor staining to lower edge of front board. Text block browned. Name & date in ink to front pastedown, hidden by front flap of dustwrapper. Some annotation to margins. Pictorial dustwrapper is browned and covered with clear laminate, faded to spine, wear to top of spine, some titles circled and ticked to rear panel list.
