Minimal bumping to spine. Old tape marks to endpapers else fine. Dustwrapper is just ever so slightly rubbed at edges. A super copy of the first edition.

Daily Express. 1943. Good condition. Cover: Rupert with lantern in hand looking up at birds and butterflies, his friends around him, scene overlooking sea. Ink marks/scribble to front cover. Base of spine split to either side for approximately 1.5" with 1" closed tear going into front cover. Top 1" of spine missing with corresponding tears to side. Glue holding cover to spine appears weak. Both colouring pages have been completed. Name in pencil crayon to belongs to box. Not price-cut.
