Very good condition in a good dustwrapper. Kay goes out to India to stay with an eccentric uncle and a madcap cousin expecting life to be exciting. But she doesn't realise what extraordinary happening she will be involved with. Terra cotta cloth boards with black titles to spine. 4 B/w plates. 207 pages.

Spine and corners bumped and rubbed. Prize plate to front pastedown. A few foxspots to edge of pages otherwise contents clean. Price cut dustwrapper is edge worn and creased with loss to top of back panel and spine. Several small closed tears. Remains of black label to spine. Rear panel is grubby. Three white labels to verso of dustwrapper presumably to strengthen it.

Kay expected life on the station to be exciting, and the excitement begins when a stout Babu makes an offer for her uncle's villa, and when it is refused, starts a determined offensive to drive them out. After a lot of extraordinary happenings, the mystery is solved in a typically Indian fashion.
