Front endpaper detached but present, worn at edges. Small inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper. Two illustrations loose but present. Two tiny patches of susrface paper loss to one colour plate ('And Shot his own Sow') and also King Cole Calls For His Fiddlers. Margins of plates a little grubby. One b/w illustration is partially messily coloured in (pg 73) with yellow pencil, also couple of lines to margins of pg 90, 183-185, 193, 207, 308. Large margin tear to one page plus a few small page edge tears. Foxing thoughout, some heavy. Top and tail of spine and corners bumped and worn. Rear board stained.
