An album of pressed New Zealand fern specimens. Mounted on card which opens concertina style. 8 pages of pressed specimens with tissue guards. Hand-written botanical name to each page. Burgundy cloth spine & corners, brown patterned cloth to sides, gilt title to front board. Spine has disintegrated with much loss. Corners are worn. Foxing to tissue guards and pale foxing to specimen pages. Pressed specimens are discoloured with age but complete. Ribbon closure to vertical edge of boards is missing. An unusual item.

The LT type bus which started to appear on London streets in 1929. The first vehicles of this class of over 1400 vehicles had outside staircases while the most developed examples led the way to the STL of 1932. All the variations are covered here, including the famous Bluebirds, the 'Scooter' single deckers and the two coaches. Large format. Matt pictorial boards. Many b/w illustrations on Wain's anthropomorphic animals especially cats. Boards are edge worn with some slight loss of surface paper. Inscription in ink to top margin of title-page (dated 1902). Some small margin tears and one page has a large repaired tear (very neat repair). Small patch of surface paper loss to lower edge of one full-page b/w illustration. Light vertical crease to one page. Generally a very decent copy of a scarce book.

Name in ink to front free-endpaper. Joints have been reinforced with white paper. Page browning to endpapers, foxing to contents. Some grubby fingermarks and some loss to page margins. Dot-to-dot has been completed then the pencil has been erased. Unfortunately the frontis is MISSING from this copy, the other plates are still present but the edges are slightly worn. A nice copy of a very scarce book.
