A pop-up book with introduction by Weatherly. 5 pop-up scenes plus numerous b/w illustrations. Green cloth spine, pictorial front board shows children dancing around a Christmas tree. Decorative endpapers. Nister no. 853. Spine bumped and worn. Corners bumped and very worn. Board edges are scuffed. Boards are scratched and a bit grubby. Front joint cracked. Endpapers and page edges browned. Staples rusty. One page, which has ragged edges, is detached. 4" tear to last page of text plus other smaller tears to page edges and margins. Light colouring to several illustrations. Some fingering to contents. Horse's tail slightly creased in second pop-up, and couple of small patches of surface paper damage in deer pop-up. Other pop-ups nice and bright.

Simple b/w text illustrations accompanying verses. Large format. 76 pages. Top edge gilt. A delightful book! Spine and corners a little bumped. Covers a little grubby. Small booksellers label to rear pastedown plus date stamp. Endpapers browned. Small tears and a small piece missing to front endpaper. Couple of hinges slightly cracked. Contents very good. Includes a book mark with an original drawing.

SIGNED by the author on an autograph slip which has been stuck to the front free-endpaper and dedicated to Ria. Spine and corners slightly bumped and rubbed. Autograph slip is foxed but contents are fine. Dustwrapper is edge creased and torn with some slight loss and tape repairs on verso.

Boards lightly mottled at edges. Text block a little grubby. 1.5cm x 6.5cm cut from top of front endppaer. Minor foxing to endpapers else contents clean. Boards slightly bowed.

A few other small marks to covers. Joints cracked, showing webbing. Name in ink to half-title page. Light foxing to endpapers, prelims and a few fox spots throughout. A few marks to contents but generally clean. All plates present.

Spine and corners worn. Covers are very scuffed. Joints are cracked but binding is firm. Some page browning, grubby fingermarks and light foxing.
