Almost very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. The practical side of carving in stone and marble. A geeneral essay on carving and a warning of its many pitfalls, a list of stones (giving colour, texture, consistency, etc), and a chapter on tools. Grey cloth boards, red title to spine. B/w photos and diagrams. 96 pages including index.

Boards mottled by damp. Endpapers browned. Tiny nick to front joint. Contents clean. Cream dustwrapper is a little grubby and browned, a few small stains to spine, a few small chips to corners.
